Project Overview

A2F Consulting supported the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), in collaboration with the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), in developing a Supervisory Technology (SupTech) Program to enhance data-driven financial supervision and payment system oversight. The project aimed to strengthen BSP’s data analytics capabilities, improve supervisory effectiveness, and align practices with international standards.

Work Developed

• Identified and mapped SupTech use cases to enhance supervisory processes and data utilisation
• Assessed data requirements, sources, and gaps to support advanced analytics and supervision
• Developed a SupTech strategy and implementation blueprint aligned with BSP’s IT and data governance frameworks
• Designed approaches to improve data quality, timeliness, and risk monitoring capabilities
• Supported integration of data analytics tools to strengthen supervisory oversight and decision-making

The assignment was delivered over 6 months and focused on designing a scalable SupTech roadmap. A2F combined technical advisory with data strategy development to enable BSP to enhance supervisory efficiency, reduce risks, and leverage advanced analytics for more effective financial sector oversight.
