Project Overview

A2F Consulting supported the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in conducting business process reengineering and enterprise system architecture development for the National Credit Regulator (NCR) in South Africa. The project aimed to modernise operational processes, strengthen data management, and enhance regulatory efficiency in an increasingly complex financial sector.

Work Developed

• Conducted detailed assessment and documentation of existing business processes and information systems
• Performed benchmarking against international best practices to identify gaps and improvement areas
• Designed an enterprise architecture aligned with the regulator’s mandate and operational needs
• Explored the use of advanced technologies (including big data and AI) to improve automation and data capabilities
• Developed a roadmap for a new integrated Operational Management Information System (OMIS)

The assignment was delivered over 3 months and combined process optimisation with technology strategy. A2F provided a clear, actionable roadmap for system development and institutional transformation, enabling the regulator to improve efficiency, manage growing workloads, and enhance service delivery.
